Our Vision

Create. Confidently.

At Art House Press our mission is to promote art, individual artists and artistic communities. As artists ourselves, we’re passionate in our belief that art produces positive effects; ones which impress upon individual lives and weave together entire communities. We’ve watched as our own idea without a home has grown from a few words and images on the virtual page into a publication with nationwide distribution. Our community grows every day and with every edition.

This issue is all about the mingling of ideas and synchronistic partnerships—weaving a cohesive yarn that’s rich in color and texture. We engaged artists drawn to various media who let us mix and match their visual styles to create what we felt were articulate storylines. We then reached out to poets. Poets who created new and dynamic prose based on the artwork groupings we assigned them. By design, we had no particular outcome in mind. Our intent was, simply, this: Recreate the feeling we get when we create art.

There’s a blank canvas. A rush of ideas. A passion that drives us to distill seemingly random or disparate thoughts into a singular and cohesive vision. By taking this approach, we learned how a magazine itself becomes a work of art. It taught us that every day is a work of art; that art is a daily practice. Little by little. Day by day. Moment by moment. Even if the outcome is uncertain—and, more often than not, especially when the outcome is uncertain—it’s what we do. Create. Confidently. Every day.
